Yes. Celebrations, themed workshops and corporate sessions can be held at your venue by arrangement. We travel across Gauteng and the North West.
None at all. Every session is beginner friendly and guided step by step. Experienced makers are just as welcome.
Children from 6 years old are welcome at our workshops at a reduced rate of R500 per child. We cannot take children under 6. The studio is an open air space with an open pool and no babysitting, so it is not a child-safe environment for little ones. Monthly pottery classes are for ages 15 and up.
On the day
We are in Meerhof, Hartbeespoort, in an open air studio overlooking the Hartbeespoort Dam and the Magalies Mountains.
Something you do not mind getting clay on. Aprons are provided. Short nails make working with clay easier.
Most experiences run 2 to 3 hours. Themed group workshops are 3 hours. Pottery classes are 2.5 hours per session.
It depends on the experience. Themed Group Workshops include a light lunch, with drinks for your own account. The Romantic Couples Clay Date includes coffee or tea and croissants on arrival, a charcuterie platter, and your choice of champagne or a non-alcoholic option. Celebrations can be upgraded with champagne, a local charcuterie platter and styled decor.
There is parking outside, just past the house on the left hand side.
Yes. You are welcome to bring drinks and snacks, along with your own cutlery, plates and glasses. We just ask that you handle your own setup and clean up.
After your session
Your work is ready to collect about eight weeks after your session. That sounds long, but slow drying is what keeps pieces from cracking, and it makes a real difference to the result. We will message you as soon as yours is ready.
All clay, tools, glazing and firing. You keep everything you make.
We work on collection from the studio. If you are far away, chat to us and we will see what we can arrange.
Your pieces are handmade by you. We provide the guidance, the clay, the slow drying and the glazing, but we cannot guarantee how a handmade piece will come out of the kiln. It is part of working with clay, and part of what makes each piece yours.
